Materials - Working with suppliers to reduce the use of virgin materials in our eyewear and packaging in order to introduce more responsibly sourced material alternatives.
In 2021 alone, we transitioned over 7 million pairs of glasses from virgin to recycled materials. One innovative new material, called Eastman Tritan™ Renew, is made with 50% recycled plastic*. Not only is Renew made with recycled materials, it is higher quality than the virgin polycarbonate used in our products today so you can feel even better wearing them! Benefits to you include:

In terms of packaging, we have eliminated the use of PVC plastic packaging in favor of packaging that reuses recycled materials, including plastics made with at least 50% recycled polyethylene.
